What Bridgeport houses need
Black Rock has the most rewarding architecture we work on. Victorians with wrap porches, turrets, spindle work, bay windows, and gable trim, most of them built when detail was the point. Lit properly they are the best looking houses in the county in December, and they are slower work than a modern colonial because there is genuinely more to follow.
Brooklawn and the North End run to 1920s and 30s Tudors and colonials with deep porches and heavy trim, on wider lots with mature trees out front. Same idea, different era. Up on Success Hill the lots have real elevation change worth designing around. On all of them the porch and the entry usually deserve as much attention as the roofline.

That is the best kind of house we get. Porch lines, gable trim, turrets, and bay windows all get followed rather than skipped, which takes longer than a plain colonial and looks considerably better. You will see the plan on a photo of your own house before you commit to it.
