What Cheshire houses need

Cheshire is inland and it feels it. Lots are bigger than the shoreline towns, houses sit further apart, and there is open land between neighborhoods rather than a continuous street grid. Mostly colonials, splits, and ranches from the 1960s onward, with antiques near the green and newer larger construction at the north end.

Open sight lines are the thing to design around here. With space between houses and fewer trees blocking the view, a lit roofline reads from much further away than it would in a dense neighborhood, and the corners and peaks carry the whole effect.

No shore, no wind, simpler jobs

Cheshire is far enough inland that none of the coastal weather planning applies. No salt air, no steady wind off the Sound, no exposed elevations to specify around. That makes for straightforward installs and it takes one variable out of the quote.

What matters instead is frontage. On larger inland lots the house is the whole display, so how much roofline you light and how clean the corners are is most of the result.

How it goes

From your call
to lights on.

No packages and no waiting weeks for a quote. You see the design on your own house before we hang a bulb.

  1. Design visit

We come out to Cheshire, usually within a day or two of your call, and design it on the iPad on a photo of your house. You see the roofline lit, pick the colors, and get one flat price. You go on the schedule right then.

  2. Installed that week

Most homes are installed the same week as the design visit. Commercial-grade LED, hidden clips, timers set, and everything tested at dusk before we pull out of the driveway.

  3. Lit all season

Anything goes dark, text us and we fix it, no charge. In January it all comes down and goes to our shop, labeled, until next year. Nothing in your garage.

What it costs in Cheshire

Pricing does not change by town. Most homes land between $800 and $3,500 for the season, and the number comes from how much roofline you have, how tall the house is, and how many trees and entry pieces you want lit. Every quote is one flat, all-in price covering design, installation, service all season, takedown in January, and storage.

See the full pricing breakdown for ranges by house size, or send your address and we will come out and give you an exact number.

Cheshire questions

Do you come out this far?

Yes. Cheshire is in our service area and we quote the whole town, green to the Southington line.

Our house sits back on a big lot. What should we light?

On an open inland lot the roofline usually does most of the work, because the sight lines are long and there is not much blocking the view. Trees and the entry are worth adding, but they matter less here than they do on a wooded Wilton or Easton property.

What moves the price?

Linear feet of roofline first, then how tall the house is and how steep the roof, then how many trees, wreaths, and entry pieces you want lit. You get one flat number at the design visit that covers all of it plus service, takedown, and storage.
