What Milford houses need
Milford splits neatly into shoreline and inland. Down at Woodmont and Walnut Beach you have older cottages and newer rebuilds packed close together on small lots, taking weather off the Sound all season. Inland it is postwar capes, splits, and newer colonials on ordinary suburban lots with no exposure to speak of.
The green is its own case. Antique houses facing one of the longest town greens in New England, with people actually walking it in December, which makes the entry, the porch, and the trim worth more there than they would be on a set back inland lot.
The shore takes weather the rest of town does not
Woodmont and Walnut Beach sit right on the water with very little between them and the Sound. Wind through December and salt in the air are normal there, and retail strands do not survive a season of it. That is a large part of why we supply the product rather than hanging what you bought.
Raise the exposure when you call and we will go over the elevations that actually catch the wind at the design visit. If something does come loose, that is a service call and there is no charge.

Lit all season
Anything goes dark, text us and we fix it, no charge. In January it all comes down and goes to our shop, labeled, until next year. Nothing in your garage.

We use commercial-grade product rather than retail strands, which is the difference that matters most out there, and we go over the exposed elevations at the design visit. If something comes loose in a storm, text us and we come re-hang it, no charge.
Our house faces the green. Does that change anything?
It is worth weighting the design toward the entry, the porch, and the trim, because people are walking past on foot in December rather than driving by. We will build it that way if you want.
Do you do the inland side of town too?
Yes, we quote anywhere in Milford. Inland houses have no exposure to plan around, so the design is simpler and the price usually reflects that.
