What Easton houses need

Easton zoning keeps lots large and keeps commercial development out, which produces a specific kind of property: a colonial, farmhouse, or custom contemporary sitting well back on three or more wooded acres off Sport Hill or Silver Hill, reached by a driveway long enough to be its own feature.

On that kind of lot the roofline is a smaller share of the job than it is in a denser town. The drive, the trees along it, the entry, and often a barn or outbuilding are what turn a lit roof into a lit property. Out toward Aspetuck and the reservoir the tree cover gets heavier and that shifts further still.

No streetlights anywhere

Easton is genuinely dark. Most roads have no streetlights and there is no commercial lighting bleeding in from anywhere, so on a December evening a lit house is the only thing visible for a stretch of road. That cuts both ways. Whatever you light reads far more strongly than it would in Trumbull or Fairfield, and whatever you leave dark disappears completely.

Practically, it means we plan the design from the road inward, and it means power and timer placement need thought on a property where the nearest exterior outlet can be a long way from what you want lit. That gets settled at the design visit, not on install day.

How it goes

From your call
to lights on.

No packages and no waiting weeks for a quote. You see the design on your own house before we hang a bulb.

  1. Design visit

We come out to Easton, usually within a day or two of your call, and design it on the iPad on a photo of your house. You see the roofline lit, pick the colors, and get one flat price. You go on the schedule right then.

  2. Installed that week

Most homes are installed the same week as the design visit. Commercial-grade LED, hidden clips, timers set, and everything tested at dusk before we pull out of the driveway.

  3. Lit all season

Anything goes dark, text us and we fix it, no charge. In January it all comes down and goes to our shop, labeled, until next year. Nothing in your garage.

What it costs in Easton

Pricing does not change by town. Most homes land between $800 and $3,500 for the season, and the number comes from how much roofline you have, how tall the house is, and how many trees and entry pieces you want lit. Every quote is one flat, all-in price covering design, installation, service all season, takedown in January, and storage.

See the full pricing breakdown for ranges by house size, or send your address and we will come out and give you an exact number.

Easton questions

Our driveway is a few hundred feet long. Can you light it?

Yes, and on an Easton property it is usually the highest impact thing on the quote. Wrapped trees along the drive, lit entry posts at the road, and the approach to the house do more than adding roofline the road cannot see.

What about power on a big property?

We work it out at the design visit. One working exterior outlet covers most jobs, and where the run is long we plan the cord routing and the timer placement in advance so nothing crosses a driveway or a walk.

Can you light a barn or an outbuilding?

Yes. On a property with a barn, a garage, or a stable in view from the road, lighting it along with the house usually makes the place look intentional rather than like the house alone got decorated.
