What Shelton houses need
Shelton grew fast and it shows in the housing. Older village stock around Huntington sits alongside 1990s and 2000s subdivisions up in White Hills, where the houses are bigger and the rooflines have more going on: multiple gables, bumped out entries, garage wings. Those look excellent lit and they carry more linear feet than people expect.
The older parts of town run to capes and postwar colonials with simpler rooflines, which is genuinely good news on price. A clean full front on one of those often lands near our starting number rather than in the middle of the range.
Two towns in one, on price
A cape in Pine Rock Park and a newer colonial in White Hills are the same town and can differ by more than double on the quote. Frontage and roof geometry drive the number, not the address and not the square footage.
That is the whole reason for a free design visit rather than a phone estimate. We measure your house, show you the design on a photo of it, and give you one flat price for it.
How it goes
From your call
to lights on.
No packages and no waiting weeks for a quote. You see the design on your own house before we hang a bulb.
Design visit
We come out to Shelton, usually within a day or two of your call, and design it on the iPad on a photo of your house. You see the roofline lit, pick the colors, and get one flat price. You go on the schedule right then.
Installed that week
Most homes are installed the same week as the design visit. Commercial-grade LED, hidden clips, timers set, and everything tested at dusk before we pull out of the driveway.
Lit all season
Anything goes dark, text us and we fix it, no charge. In January it all comes down and goes to our shop, labeled, until next year. Nothing in your garage.
What it costs in Shelton
Pricing does not change by town. Most homes land between $800 and $3,500 for the season, and the number comes from how much roofline you have, how tall the house is, and how many trees and entry pieces you want lit. Every quote is one flat, all-in price covering design, installation, service all season, takedown in January, and storage.
See the full pricing breakdown for ranges by house size, or send your address and we will come out and give you an exact number.
Shelton questions
We are in a newer subdivision with a lot of peaks. Does that cost more?
Yes, because it is more roofline and more time, and it is also the house that looks best lit. Every eave, gable, and dormer gets measured at the design visit so the number already accounts for it. Nothing changes on install day.
Our house is a small cape. Worth hiring out?
That is your call, but a cape front is straightforward and usually comes in near our starting price. The price covers the product, the install, fixing anything that goes dark, takedown, and storage, so you are not buying lights and finding room for them.
How quickly can you get out here if something goes out?
We are based in Bridgeport, so Shelton is a short run. Service on anything we installed is included all season and there is no charge for it.
