What Norwalk houses need

Norwalk is the most varied town we cover. Rowayton is a walkable waterfront village of shingle-style houses and cottages on small lots. West Norwalk is acreage and mature trees. Silvermine is antiques on winding roads. East Norwalk is a tight grid near the water. Four genuinely different lighting jobs inside one town line.

That variety is why we quote off what we measure at your house rather than off the address. A Rowayton cottage and a West Norwalk colonial can be the same square footage and nowhere near the same number of linear feet.

Rowayton is its own thing

Rowayton is walkable in a way most of the county is not. People are out on foot in December going to the market and down to the water, which means houses get seen close up and slowly. The entry, the porch, and the trim earn their keep there in a way they would not on a set back lot.

It is also exposed. Houses that close to the Sound take wind all season, so exposure is worth raising at the design visit rather than discovering in a December storm. Anything that does come loose is a service call and there is no charge for it.

How it goes

From your call
to lights on.

No packages and no waiting weeks for a quote. You see the design on your own house before we hang a bulb.

  1. Design visit

We come out to Norwalk, usually within a day or two of your call, and design it on the iPad on a photo of your house. You see the roofline lit, pick the colors, and get one flat price. You go on the schedule right then.

  2. Installed that week

Most homes are installed the same week as the design visit. Commercial-grade LED, hidden clips, timers set, and everything tested at dusk before we pull out of the driveway.

  3. Lit all season

Anything goes dark, text us and we fix it, no charge. In January it all comes down and goes to our shop, labeled, until next year. Nothing in your garage.

What it costs in Norwalk

Pricing does not change by town. Most homes land between $800 and $3,500 for the season, and the number comes from how much roofline you have, how tall the house is, and how many trees and entry pieces you want lit. Every quote is one flat, all-in price covering design, installation, service all season, takedown in January, and storage.

See the full pricing breakdown for ranges by house size, or send your address and we will come out and give you an exact number.

Norwalk questions

We are in Rowayton, right by the water. Any concerns?

Exposure is worth raising when you call. We use commercial-grade product rather than retail strands, and we go over the exposed elevations at the design visit. If something comes loose in a storm, text us and we come re-hang it at no charge.

Our lot is small. Is there a minimum job?

No minimum. Small houses on tight lots are straightforward work and usually land at the lower end of our range. On a walkable street they also get seen more closely than a big house set back on acreage.

Do you cover all of Norwalk?

We quote anywhere in the city. Most of our work is Rowayton, West Norwalk, East Norwalk, and Silvermine, but call us wherever you are and we will come out.
